Treat and care for your scalp with Polytar

Polytar is a medicated scalp shampoo that contains coal tar. It is used for the treatment of scalp conditions such as psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, eczema, dandruff, scaling and itchiness.

 

Main causes of scalp conditions

There are many skin conditions that can cause the scalp to become inflamed, itchy, dry and flaky. About half of the adult population will suffer from dandruff in their lifetime.

How to use Polytar Scalp Shampoo

Step 1

Wet your hair

Thoroughly wet your hair in the bath or shower with clean, warm (not hot) water.

Step 2

Apply Polytar Scalp Shampoo

Use enough shampoo so that the lather covers your scalp, hair and adjacent areas.

Step 3

Massage your scalp

Gently massage your scalp and adjacent areas with your fingertips, taking care to not scratch or excessively rub your scalp.

Step 4

Rinse your scalp and hair

Thoroughly rinse your scalp and hair with clean, warm water until the lather is completely rinsed.

Step 5

Apply second treatment of Polytar

Repeat steps 2 to 4. Taking both of these shampoo applications into consideration, the total leave on time for the shampoo should be 3-5 minutes.
